A Place for Gathering and Conversation

Designed in the spirit of a small Parisian café, the refectory at LA SOLFATARA offers staff, artists and visitors a space to take a break and meet, away from the studios and working areas.

Its furniture comes from Le Sarah Bernhardt, an iconic Parisian brasserie, whose tables and seating have found a new home at LA SOLFATARA. The floor, designed by Jean-Michel Othoniel, brings an artistic dimension to this everyday space, combining traditional café furniture with contemporary creation.

The refectory

As a shared living space, the refectory hosts daily meals, informal conversations and exchanges that are part of studio life. It also provides a welcoming setting for guests and an opportunity to continue discussions in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Equipped with a professional kitchen, the refectory can also accommodate occasional lunches, dinners, receptions and events connected to the artistic and cultural activities of LA SOLFATARA. This space plays an important role in the daily life of LA SOLFATARA, encouraging interaction between the people who work there and those who come to visit.
