LA SOLFATARA has a dedicated photography and audiovisual production studio, designed to document the works and the different stages of Jean-Michel Othoniel's and Johan Creten's artistic practices.
This space is used to produce photographs of artworks, detailed views, portraits and films documenting creative processes, techniques and daily life in the artists' studios. It contributes to building accurate and consistent visual documentation, essential for tracking the development of artworks and preserving the history of individual projects.
The photographs and films produced enrich the artists' archives and support their projects, exhibitions and publications. They are also made available to galleries, museums, researchers and the press, as well as for digital platforms and social media.
Working closely with the archival activities at LA SOLFATARA, the Digital Studio contributes to the preservation, dissemination and transmission of the artists' work, while providing insight into the different stages of the creative process.
